Why “Manpo”?

Named after the very first pedometer.

Manpo is Japanese for “10,000 steps”. In 1965 a Japanese company released the manpo-kei, the “10,000-step meter”, and gave the world its favorite daily goal.

Sixty years later, Manpo brings that idea to your iPhone, with a lot more color.
